About me
I was always torn as to which artistic avenue to follow - illustration or ceramics? I opted for ceramics and gained a first class honours degree. I was given the opportunity of being Artist in Residence in a secondary school in Nottinghamshire, where I was able to develop my ceramics into a small business whilst teaching a number of classes each week. After a few years, I decided to become a primary school teacher and qualified in 2000 taking my first post in a lovely village school in South Devon, where I still teach. I have enjoyed sharing my art enthusiasm with children over the years and currently teach pottery and design and technology part-time to that age group. I have always retained a real love for illustration and have written a number of unpublished (as yet) picture books, which I have loved illustrating. I have two lovely boys and live in the fishing town of Brixham. My husband has advised that I include in this section the phrase, 'daft as a brush'.......and he wasn't referring to himself!
